Mobile Clutter
I’m struggling with my site’s mobile layout and it’s honestly driving me crazy. On my widescreen monitor at home, everything looks clean and organized, but when I open it on my iPhone while grabbing lunch, it looks like a total explosion of text and buttons. I try to scale things down, but then it just feels cramped and impossible to navigate with one hand. How do you guys manage to keep a mobile version looking decent without stripping away all the useful stuff?

I went through the exact same headache when I launched my portfolio. I kept trying to cram every desktop feature onto the phone screen, and it just ended up frustrating everyone. I finally realized that mobile users aren't looking for a "miniature" computer experience; they want something fast and focused that fits into those quick gaps in their day. I actually stumbled across a great perspective on https://www.figbat.com/blog/why-mobile-entertainment-platforms-keep/ that talks about why the most successful mobile designs lean into simplicity and "quiet" interfaces rather than flashy, complex ones. My best advice is to kill the sidebars and stick to one clear action per screen—it makes a world of difference for usability when someone is just scrolling on the go.
